Hotline Miami? Max Payne? John Woo?
Yes.
The Hong Kong Massacre is one of those games that took me a moment to click. It's not brilliant in its construction. Movement's a tad sluggish, there's no variety in its objectives, boss fights are beyond lame, and the story's not very engaging, but the action, challenge, and beauty of its spectacle eclipses several games with far more time and money put into it.
Being this is the company's first ever video game, it's extremely impressive, and hopefully, a sign of things to come.
