Yeah, you've likely heard and seen Squid Game already... I'm going to save that recommendation for later to give to people who avoided it due to its sheer popularity. However, Korea's got lots of other things to offer and My Name is one of them.
Now, I wouldn't describe this show as perfect. I've told friends that episodes would have me hating it one moment and loving it ten seconds later. It's chaotic, but an ultimately enjoyable show for its compelling characters, intriguing premise, and absolutely stellar action scenes.
One thing I took from this program is you don't need to choose between locked frames or shaky cams. My Name really involves the cameras in the action to emphasis its bloody impact, and it never stops entertaining from start to finish.
Despite issues in regards to music usage, flashbacks, and some very cheap looking shots, I'm still thinking about this one and would recommend.
