Though I've come around on the John Wick series since loving the Fourth entry, Nobody still holds up as the alternative that I wanted, and appreciated back when it came out.
Being that I wasn't, and still not a fan of the earlier John Wick films, the idea of that film's script writer teaming up with a less experienced director didn't seem like riveting development.
All I expected was to like Bob Odenkirk, and I got that. I wasn't expecting to like his character, or the world, or the setpieces, or the action, or the editing, or the storytelling, but...
I really did!
