Update (To Everything)

Hello everybody,

My task list today involves…

-Packing for NYC (16th-21st)
-Writing a 007 Short Film
-Writing a mini-series
-Co-writing a feature film
-Organizing The Shambles Championship Off-Season
-Writing four Randomly Mine's
-Writing the weekly Q&A
-Testing Multiplayer games for Discord Hangouts
-Designing a Racetrack for a notable AC Modder
-Buying Eggs

And it's occurred to me…

There's this Youtube Channel I have.

Not only is it what ultimately keeps a roof over my head, it's my outlet, my passion; I've steadily added more and more to this Patreon over the years, wanting to give myself more creative outlets while simultaneously giving something to those that've been so kind to give to me.

I don't regret hosting Multiplayer, nor Randomly Mines, or doing Q&A's every week…

But I have to accept that between Youtube and all of my external projects, it's just impossible for me to balance all of these plates simultaneously, and some have already hit the floor as a result.

At the end of the day, it's the work I put out for everybody that's the reason y'all donated, and I need to focus more on that work.

At times my personal life has felt like it doesn't have any room to function underneath everything I've facilitated, which is especially painful when things I can't control rear their ugly head, whether it's health, family, etc, at a time when all of these things are calling for attention at the same time.

The only way to change that, is to change the things I do control.

So, here's the darlings I'm killing:

-Q&A's will be bi-weekly.
-Randomly Mine's will bi-weekly
-After early July, Multiplayer Hangouts will no longer be scheduled; only impromptu and/or related to current videos

I wish I was mentally strong enough to balance all of these things at once, but I'm not, and it's better to accept that rather than burn myself out of this career entirely.

Currently, I'm making a video called "Finally… a Better Hotline Miami", it's a full dive into OTXO, as I've seen that while the game's success, I don't see nearly the attention it deserves, and I hope to give it at least a little nudge, while also exploring the value of iterating game mechanics that've remained in relative stasis.

I'm also currently editing it in Davinci Resolve, so I'm quite annoyed not having the editing speed I normally do, though honestly, Adobe's bugs impeded any efficiency I had in the first place.

Hopefully I can get it all done before NYC, and of course, y'all will be seeing it first regardless of release.

Apologies for losing sight this year (ironically the same year I finally got glasses).

Thank you to everybody who has donated, and even more so if you've continued to, it's genuinely the only thing that's let me cover rent and life expenses at this time.

Enjoy the weekend.

Best wishes,
Lucas Raycevick

While I enjoy the Randomly Mines, Recommendations (I've found lots of great music because of those, thank you) and Q&As. Ultimately, I'm here for the seller videos you produce. So I'm all for getting less "bonus content" for more of the main course. And nobody here wants to see you stretched too thin and get burned out. So I think the shift in focus is a good move. Thanks for all you do, keep kicking ass!
