Recommendations: BLUR

IRL Mario Kart shouldn't be this gorgeous or enthralling, but it is! The realistic vehicles and environments with muted colors just make the powers light up the whole road like a Nightclub without becoming overwhelming.
While multiplayer is when this game comes alive, locally or online, it's core-gameplay loop is good enough to make even the simple singleplayer campaign fun to play.
Because Activision hasn't so much as acknowledged this game since release, and isn't available on any legal storefront, it's easy to acquire online, and more than worth the small effort getting from the Internet Archive or elsewhere.

I loved this game when I played it back on the 360! It was one of the best arcade racers I played thanks to its smooth controls and power ups so fun to mess around with, I wished it have gotten a sequel, so we could see this concept get fleshed out with more cars, power ups and race tracks

2022-11-09 14:58:27 +0000 UTCI absolutely loved Blur. One of my favorite games on the PS3. I'd really love to see a modern recreation of the game but I'm sure it would be stuffed to the brim with microtransactions and product placement. Whitelight has a really good video on Blur that I'd recommend.
