What was the first game that had a story that was genuinely captivating to you?

I enjoyed game stories prior to this, but I always say 2012 was the year I really realized the potential of them, after playing the trio of Walking Dead, Far Cry 3, and Spec Ops The Line almost back to back.

Far Cry 3 showed how to connect external mechanics with the themes of a story, Spec Ops intentionally separated the character and protagonist, and The Walking Dead was the first piece of media that ever made me cry.

That's when I wanted to explore games as more than just a time killer.

If you had to choose a F1 driver to join Shambles who is it and why is it Verstappen?

It'd be Latifi, he's around our skill level.

What's the long version of ya design doc Mr raycevick?

Unfinished at the moment, and as I'm juggling so many projects, it'll probably stay that way for a while... but there's so many parts of this game that I just can't get out of my head.

I close my eyes, and I see this game in my mind.

Will you see the super mario movie with me?

No, but it's not because of you, you're awesome.

Do you think Rockstar is going to screw up GTA 6?

Nah.

At least, not in a manner that will make people turn on Rockstar. While I'm not a fan of their games generally, nobody can really deny that they're one of the few companies who properly releases games.

What I really hope for GTA is that it doesn't carry the tone of V. That game struck me as, not so much a response to GTA IV, but a heel turn. It felt like the Housers were so hurt by people mocking their serious narrative that they did the equivalent of a sulking Teenager going "No... you're the one that's cringe."

After all the positive reception regarding Red Dead 2's writing, I hope the company has grown past that, and just makes a story that's thematically compelling...

Also not just the same four points about the American Dream for the 7th time.

Do you dabble in audiobooks at all?

Nope, I've got way too many books on my shelf that go unread, adding Audio Books would make them cry. However, I have dabbled in Audio Dramas, even a dear friend of mine made one, Calamity.

Though I can't imagine this segment of entertainment would have as much potential as it does if it weren't for Audio Books. I know friends whose boring ass 9-5 jobs are saved by being able to put on some headphones and pleasantly listen to a narrator take them somewhere else.
