Recommendations: Dredd (2012)

Dredd's first impressions are that of CGI that wasn't particularly impressive even for the time, with a seemingly one-note premise, and a quite hilarious title card that I think was made by videocopilot.
Yet, I just finished watching it again start to finish after intending to just rewatch a few scenes... it's almost like I watched it for the first time all over again, and it's acting, pacing, set-pieces, music, editing, and indeed, artificial appearance, is as thoroughly entertaining as I remember.
Small wonder Karl Urban's greatest wish is to make a sequel.
