Is there a genre of games that you personally could never get into?
MMO's are the easiest example. One I'm not sure will ever change due to my general interest in games just not really aligning with what MMO's strive to accomplish.
I'm not interested in grinding characters, or interacting with large groups of people, so I'm a bit like somebody looking for Coke Cola in a Wine Cellar.
That's not to say I won't even look at one, I've tried WoW, Guild Wars 2, and Black Desert, and I've spent a couple genuine hours with The Old Republic and Defiance. The thing I couldn't help but takeaway however, is that I would've preferred those games if they were dedicated RPGs or Shooters rather than MMOs.

since you mentioned Balalaika from Black Lagoon as your Anime Waifu, who is your gaming Waifu? my current picks are Miranda Lawson (Mass Effect) and oddly enough, Asuka Kazama lately as i've been playing a lot of Tekken (5 and 8 specifically).
Buddy, Tali'Zorah is right there.
Panam Palmer's the most recent favorite, though Cyberpunk also has a cast where you could throw a dart, and it'd land on a waifu, even a minor character, I remember all the reactions to Aurore...

In your Max Payne clones video, you mention that the edgy stuff that works are due to the edge hiding some more meaningful and sincere underneath or being so charming that it's able to wear its edge pridefully, iirc. For that you used footage of Black Lagoon for the former and DMC3 for the latter, but I'd argue that DMC3 is more the former than latter. While nowhere near as dark or serious as Black Lagoon could get, Dante himself is hiding something deep inside that he goes through an arc to let out and be a better person by the end. There was a good amount of thought that went into 3 overall story wise I feel like some people don't realize. Of course you can probably disagree with me, but I do wonder if you didn't know this when using footage of DMC 3 for that part of you felt something different and may think 3 failed to convey it?
I've never played through DMC 3, so most of my impressions are what I've seen and heard, 95% of which is regarding the game's absurdity.
Not to say I don't believe Dante isn't a more in-depth character, typically, such a simple character wouldn't be so beloved after 20+ years, though if Dante has as much going as mentally as Revy, I'd be both surprised, and concerned.
