Probably not what most Jazz Artists would be used to hearing from someone who really enjoyed their album, but hey, whatever leads people to more joy in their lives!
I expect most people going into this probably have a stereotypical view of Jazz like I did. Having most experience it through Soundtracks like Cowboy Bebop or Persona 5, or those scenes in movies with characters smoking Cigarettes with a Femme Fatale in low lighting.
In other words, old fashioned.
This album obviously takes influence from works of the past, but with its fusion of electronics, drum n bass, total ambience, and sheer variety in tempo, sounds as contemporary as any other album I've posted on the Patreon before.
I can see this album not being some people's forte, but I can't envision anybody hating it, there's almost nothing to hate as it beautifully and effortlessly travels from one rhythm to the next.
Definitely going to be writing a lot to this!
