I ain't cool.
Definitely not cool enough to be dancing in darkly lit Goth Clubs with a towering dominatrix to devilish synth-beats, but damn, is it fun to listen to.
Having heard Pixel Grip's previous albums, I could never get into them for more than a couple songs at a time, but the potential was always obvious, and it's realized big time on this third album.
It's varied, beautifully paced, and consistently catchy.
While I do generally prefer industrial, noisier, more distorted electronic music - as my previous recommendations can make obvious - my recent appreciation for moodier work has definitely led to me enjoying an album like this more than I would've a few years ago.
