Update: October 31st, 2025

Hey everybody, and welcome to the update on my illnesses videos!

I hate talking about this as I don't ever wanna sound like woe is me, but I have to as it does directly relate and effect the next batch of content. Laryngitis is something I've dealt with on a yearly basis since the start of the channel, but this time I've gotten three times in three months.

I've since been to the Doctor, getting tests arranged, given a prescription, and was at the Hospital for a separate test that suffered a six month delay.

Thankfully no emergency to report.

But wait, videos?

Yup.

My main project - working title: John Wick [Gaming] Mode - has had it's script completed for about a week now, yet just a twenty minute peek at Wreckreation - a spiritual successor to Burnout Paradise - has inspired a whole other video that I've already written the beginning and ending of with a structure for the middle outlined. The premise for this other video - working title: Burnout at Home - is all about the importance of details behind great games. The reload times in FEAR, high jumping in Halo 2, or motion blur in NFS: Most Wanted. How these things help realize them, and that emulating them isn't as simple as copying their content or design blueprint.

Wreckreation is a breaking point for me because it's Three Field Entertainment's sixth game, and yet they seem to keep walking off the same cliff blindfolded, and as a result, I couldn't stop typing.

While I'm waiting to recover enough for narrating without sounding like a chain smoker - and delaying said recovery - I'll be recording footage for this 2nd video and setting up the visuals of my 1st. It's very annoying to be forced silent on a script that's sitting in front of me ready to be spoken, especially with Youtube Studio screaming at me about things drying up, but I don't really have a choice.

Bring on the Cyberpunk future where I can chrome up my chords.

I'll be buying assets on Envato for John Wick [Gaming] Mode, a game that I do not recommend in Wreckreation for Burnout at Home, and it's because of y'all that I'm able to without digging into savings.
