Recommendations: Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc

However, Reze Arc won't be in theatres forever, so you should definitely check it out while you can because as somebody who really liked - and recommended - the show, I loved this film.
Chainsaw Man really is everything. A Comedy, Drama, Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi. At some point I was expecting Aki to show up in black and white with a Fedora smoking cigarettes to the LA Noire Theme outside a Jazz Bar.
Yet from start to finish the entire film is cohesive, as well as hilarious, over the top, and profoundly sad. More than that, it's just an exceptionally crafted from in every aspect from the editing to visuals, sound-design, music, voice-acting, dialogue, etc. There are times when an Anime can be overhyped.
This isn't one of them...

Fujimoto said that he wants the love interest to remain as a lingering curse — and my fucking god am I cursed now with mulling over the tragedy of their romance the same way I did when I first read the arc. Even more impressive is that the movie invigorated my interest in the current manga ongoings
