Recommendations: Venom by Wargasm (UK)

This album is weird...

While I enjoyed it on the first listen, it wasn't what I was looking for, IE, 2000's bangers like the title track Venom. Wargasm (UK)'s mostly known for their Prodigy-esk take on NuMetal (helped by Prodigy drummer Kieron Pepper being a producer), but this album is instead very experimental.

Death Rattle straight-up gives the vibe of a diaster horror film, meanwhile Bang Ya Head with Fred fuckin Durst has enough cheese to raise everyone's cholesterol. What I previously saw as "B-Sides" really grew on me; I came to view them as valuable pace breaks that are the reason I've now re-played the album start to finish probably a dozen times.

This is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but being the exact age group of this bands members, they've managed to reignite and reinvigorate a style of music I hadn't heard since my childhood, and its fuckin fun.
