Recommendations: Dead or Alive 5

So I Finally Bought a PS5 last year, and all I've done with it so far is play Driveclub and...

Dead or Alive 5.

I was reminded of this because I stumbled upon a comment on another video calling me a Dead or Alive 6 apologist; it said other things that made way less sense, but the accusation of DOA6 apologist was a mishap because, in truth, it was the only game in the series I actually owned.

Having finally bought a copy of DOA5 when it was on-sale, I to understand why there's such contempt for the follow up.

DOA5 is pure fighting game bliss.

The speed, sound, and impact of its hits, combos, tackles, and finishers just makes almost every other Fighter I've played feel bland, undercooked, or just slow, something I have to get acclimated too whereas DOA5 fits the label of pickup and play, while still having enough depth to be entertaining for more than the opening hours of play.

There's no bullshit X-Rays, no bullshit counters, no bullshit modes... there's a lot of bullshit DLCs, but thankfully, the last one doesn't stop the game from being so much fun to play, whether it's a couple minutes or a couple hours.
