Do you think we're going to see Microsoft go the Sega route and pull out of the hardware market to become a publisher for the foreseeable future?

Hmm... it's an interesting proposal because Microsoft has dominated Software far more than they have Hardware. Off the top of my head, i"d see no issue with them doing that, especially for their gaming division; Microsoft themselves were already publicly questioning the use of the "Xbox" years ago.

The only trouble is, it'd give Sony a virtual monopoly on the hardcore console market. Now, I've talked about Microsoft not giving a shit about Sony on multiple occasions, and I stand by that.

However, what you generally don't do is give other companies an entire sector, unless you're 100% confident on that sector being completely and utterly worthless, which while Consoles might not be what they once were, are still doing very well for both Sony and Nintendo.

So, to answer your question, no, I don't think so.

But, it's not because Microsoft isn't thinking about it.

Talking about the GT2 Opening: Have you ever seen the Gran Turismo 2 EU Opening? Me being from Germany, I'm obviously biased towards it. It still uses The Cardigan's 'My Favourite Game' but in a Re-Edited Version of the Faithless Remix / Rollo's Mix / Rollo & Sister Bliss Tuff Mix (I have no idea which one is the correct name because they're all official releases with different names for the same Remix). Faithless actually was a band from the mid-90's of which Sister Bliss and Rollo were members of so shrug. But that opening with the Remix is just SO good.

I actually hadn't, just listened to it now.

My bias' obviously keep me preferring NA, however, this remix slaps in its own way! And the sound-design while different, utilizes an almost identical intro visually, in a beautiful way.

Gran Turismo 2 is just such a good game...

I don't know about you, but this Remix really gives me NFS: Porsche Unleashed vibes, might even be using the same samples in some places. The late 90s/2000s had this specific brand of electronica that wasn't cinematic, neither trance, nor big beat, it was just this brooding but catchy atmosphere that makes me wanna hop into a car and hit an apex.

Are their any games you have thought about doing years later on but didn't because they were simply to much? If so could you list a few and a quick reason why they are to much?

Thoughts on the summer games fest and the other showcase (Xbox, Sony, Nintendo)? Anything that concerned you or caught your interest?

Hardest you’ve ever raged in a video game? In terms of difficulty and/or general frustration at the mechanics.

Over the years, I've always wanted to have a Mad Max-esque racing game in which you could conceivably both shoot your enemies and race but (aside from the fact that nobody is making those AFAIK) it always comes down to how to make vehicles resilient enough so they can cross the finish line while being brittle enough to actually be destroyed mid-race? There was this web game called Darkwind but aside from that, how would you balance such a thing without making it Mario Kart 2.0?
