You know what's annoying about Sports/Licensed games?

They're all named the same thing...

All the ones that are special or have some unique quality that was never repeated in the genre, looks exactly the same on the shelf or Wikipedia as every other soulless cash grab in the same franchise.

I did play the original WRC game on PS2, made by the same developer who made this installment five years later, on my Dad's hacked PS2, and I unfortunately wrote it off as a basic racing game with no unique character.

...If only I knew the future would have rocks fall onto your road in the middle of a stage, marshals warning of competitors that broke down ahead of you who can then be seen and even crashed into on the road, to your navigator screaming BRAKE! when you're going way too fast into a turn, and the fantastic stage design that has you ascending the highest peaks of a country only to tear back down it again in top gear.

I'm intending to do a full championship after this recommendation, I missed out, and if you're a racing fan, you probably did too.
