As someone who has an interest in writing myself, I've tried to put together some things in my spare time. While satisfied I've pulled off short stories, reviews, etc. to various success I continue to feel as if my vocabulary is inadequate. Often, I'll come to a space where an adjective or description should go and feel stumped. How have you dealt with such problems in the past in your own work?

Absolutely.

It's a battle you can never really win.

Make your vocabulary super in-depth and varied, you'll get called pretentious. Keep your language simple, you're called the same. These days, I just don't worry about it, and prioritize instead the purpose of a paragraph. When I'm staring at one and feel stumped, I find often it's because of where the paragraph goes, not so much how its written.

Granted, I'm also cheating. I'm writing videos as myself from my own point of view. I feel the same inadequacies when writing fiction and trying to capture a character's voice.

Favorite/Least Favorite city in video games? Not like one city across multiple games, but a specific game's version of a city.

Great question!

Hmm... Most recent favorite is easily Night City. I've never been one to mess with causing cop chases or messing with NPCs, so despite the bugs at launch, I found myself very immersed in that city purely from its believable layout and breathtaking art-design, which has only become easier to appreciate now.

There's also an ungodly amount of nostalgia for Liberty City in GTA4, and the maybe over a thousand hours spent running, driving, and flying around every little street in that game.

And this is maybe a left field pick, but Crysis 2's version of Manhattan. When visiting there in real life recently, I didn't realize just how one to one many of its multiplayer maps and campaign levels were, until exiting the subway and walking up the steps to see almost the exact thumbnail used in that game's online lobbies for a map.

Sega put alpha protocol back on steam. Do you think they are trying to capitalize on what GoG did? They did a similar scummy thing with Space marine 1 by upping the price to $60 when sm2 was announced

Nah, I think they just said "might as well," having already put in the effort with GOG to bring the game back to a compatible state for everyone. Though I for sure agree, that move with Space Marine 1 was asinine.

Given your interest in a potential sequel to Wet, have you heard of Spine and if so, what do you think of it? For reference, this is the game's website https://spine.game/

Thoughts on Space Marine 2? With its great reception it’d be interesting hear especially with some ME3 parallels

Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, I’m reminded of what you said in your Metro Exodus Years Later that it places you in the world so well that other games should take note. Keeping that statement in mind, I’ve gone from liking it to falling in love with this game. As for the question, What is your favorite aspect of the game (story, gameplay, artstyle, etc.) and why does said aspect connect with you so deeply?
