On a whim, I watched the 2005 Tony Scott "Fuel for Max Payne 3" cloaked as a movie called Domino, starring Keira Knightley, and I absolutely loved it...
But it's not a good movie... it's anything but a good movie.
That probably won't stop me recommending it one day on the grounds of it perfectly encapsulating what people mean by a piece of art being "2000s." Granted, that could describe a lot of the output Ridley Scott's brother. However, before recommending maybe his worst film, I'm recommending arguably his best.
As I've mentioned before, there was a time when Espionage movies were IN, and Spy Game is the result of that, but it's one of the takes before everyone was trying to Copy/Paste the success of Jason Bourne and James Bond.
It doesn't really fit into any traditional Spy archetype, it's mostly, Tony Scott doing what he does at his best.
