Recomendations: Robocop (1987)
Added 2024-12-23 14:00:13 +0000 UTCI thought it was kinda weird to have not watched Aliens or the Star Wars Trilogy until I was 18... meanwhile, Robocop I never watched until two days ago.
The main reason I'm recommending it however, isn't that I think it's amazing... I mean, it kind of is in Paul Verhoeven's almost unmatched ability to make you laugh hysterically and churn your stomach with violence that's still gruesome.
No, the main reason I'm recommending is if you're here, you're probably a gamer, and I spotted Deus Ex , DOOM, and Titanfall in just the first fifteen minutes. I'd always heard of the film's influence, much like I'd heard of others like Aliens or The End of Evangelion, but it's always different to see it first hand, and who knows... maybe it'll inspire you.
Don't mind me as I add Robocop: Rogue City to my Steam Cart.

Yes. In advance of playing Rogue City I watched Robocop 1 and 2 and loved them. So glad I did and it added so much to the playthough of Rogue City.
