Alex was dating the model Alexa Chung, from 2008-2011. This album was written and released around the tail end of their relationship. He dedicated lot of songs from Humbug to her. I imagine he wrote lot of the songs from Suck it And See as their relationship started fizzling out.

It's definitely the most influential Garage Rock Revival album to come out of the UK and massively influenced Arctic Monkeys, especially their debut. They're like Arctic Monkeys' much more unhinged, gay older brother lol
