First, in traditional vampire lore, vampires are required to sleep in the soil of their native land/home, and they can go out during the day, although their powers are significantly less. Mina (Winona's character) was having dreams and flashbacks to her former life with Dracula mainly because she was around him, but he also had a very strong/magnetic personality, so that contributed to it, too. Renfield was the first real estate agent to go to Transylvania, to Dracula's castle, and he was driven mad and became Dracula's servant. When he came back to London, he wound up institutionalized, eating bugs, etc. He took pity on Mina and tried to send her away before Dracula turned her into a vampire, and that's why Dracula killed him. Renfield was also somewhat jealous that Mina was becoming a vampire and not him. Oh, and one last thing, Igor is kind of a generic servant to mad scientists of Gothic genre stories (like Frankenstein). Hope I got all of 'em answered, bro! Enjoyed this reaction! Dracula is one of my favorite all-time movies. Take care! 😁
