2023-11-01 18:50:23 +0000 UTCi think that's my hang up. david is presented as being a good guy character. genuinely good and thoughtful in many ways. so when something like this isn't as fleshed out it's a bit off. i think it's a storyline that could have been written in a bit cleaner/neater way.

2023-11-01 17:55:57 +0000 UTCI mean even without the Jan lawsuit incident it is a big conflict of interest for the boss and hr rep to be in a romantic and sexual relationship. Imagine if someone had a legitimate complaint against Michael - Holly wouldnโt be able to be impartial and sheโs in theory supposed to be there for the employees. On the other hand one silly thing that gets on my nerves is I feel like technically we donโt know for sure that David moved Holly because of the relationship. Itโs possible he decided to transfer Holly for a different reason before he saw Michael and Holly kiss and his statement to the camera at the end of Crime Aid is a statement of regret that he didnโt know they were a couple. Heโd already put the plan in motion to move Holly and he was showing empathy over inadvertently breaking them up, whereas if he had known beforehand he wouldnโt have done so. So if you want to believe that I feel like itโs justifiable lol. I wish the show gave more certainty as to why David did what he did.
