Weekly Recap ~ 06/02/21

The first update to the game has finally been released!

Since the last Recap, I've mostly been working on adding features and bugfixing, so that's going to be the focal point of this post.

I have now resumed working on the images, so next week I'll have more previews to show off. :)

Work done this week:

• Released the first update for the game!
• Added the "Quick Scene" feature.
• Added the ability to replay unrepeatable scenes.
• Reworked the Horny Meter, now with a pulsating effect.
• Improved all the animations by changing the timings.
• Added the ability to use cheats, view walkthroughs and change difficulty mid-scene.
• Made some cooler buttons for the time-skip and the "Quick Scene" features.
• Finished the shower scene, with more outcomes.
• General bugfixing.
• Prepared the environments and characters for Tiffany's new scene.

So, let's take a deeper look at those new features.

The biggest one is for sure the new "Quick Scene" mode, which turns already viewed repeatable scenes into "quick" ones. When in this mode the dialogue is removed, and a smaller number of images is shown to the player, streamlining the scene and reducing excessive repetition. Of course this feature has a toggle, so you can re-watch a scene in it's entirety whenever desired.

Secondly, there's the ability to re-watch unrepeatable scenes. This feature does exactly what it sounds like; It allows the player to replay one-off scenes, such as the intro or Angie's first meeting.

The Horny Meter (pink vignette when a girl is horny) got a major improvement. The gradient is now much smoother, and a pulsating effect was added to the highest three levels of a girl's excitement.

The animations were also much improved. By individually changing the delay between frames and the timing of the dissolve effect, I have managed to achieve much smoother animations than before. Every animation in the game has been improved this way.

Previously the player could use cheats or view walkthroughs when in an interaction, but the game would exit whatever scene was being viewed. This is no longer the case! The player can now do any of the aforementioned things without being kicked out of the interaction they are in. This allows you to view a walkthrough mid-scene if you're having trouble getting to a specific bit of content, or to add points to a girl's stat before making a choice, etc.

Beside these added features, part of the time was spent bugfixing the game, aswell as playtesting. 

So, what's next now that the first update has been released?

More content, of course!

I have already started working on the first scene for Tiffany, as voted in the last poll.

This will be a story scene, or two rather, because both the Feelings and Respect branches will be made.

Keep in mind that every character beside Ruca will be developed in a more "linear" manner, meaning that I will be developing their scenes in order. For example I won't be making a Perversion lv30 option for a scene before having made the actual story scene for that level. This means that, for now, these scene will be "base", with the intention of later adding more and more sexual options as the character develops further.

Tiffany's first story scene will see MC inviting her to an ice-cream shop. Once there, the player will be given a key choice that will shift the scene towards the Feeling path or the Respect path.

I'll go into a bit more detail on this scene in the next Recap, once I have more previews to show.
