Breath of the Wild - preview

Definitely one of my top Zelda games (has it's flaws, but an amazing game nonetheless), and I really REALLY enjoyed the visuals. They were simply amazing, and most of the time I preferred to simply walk/ride from place to place instead of teleporting, just to to enjoy the view.
So basically the image would be placed after the game, when Zelda and Link band together to fixing the rest of Hyrule.
It's been quite a while since I had an idea of making her more "adventurer" and less princess. And I thought it would be a cool idea of having Link teaching her fighting and adventuring things, and Zelda teaches Link ... how to speak and stuff =D
Aaanyway, Zelda games are part of my childhood (and grown-up-bearded-manhood, and pretty much the definition of adventure for me in games.
So I hope you guys like this one! And yeah, that's her horse (Epona will be behind) trying to chew her bracers, and that stickman in the back is Link checking the horizon.

a little bit lol. I'm finishing it today. It took almost twice as much as the regular image, but it's really worth it =D

I got myself breeze, music, elsbeth (the vampire portrait) and the 3 pandarens =D About the image, probably the greates challenge will be to get the color pallette right. So it will certainly be a good exercise =D

2019-05-07 14:06:12 +0000 UTCI feel like I have a similar feeling about Breath of the Wild as you, it's one of my favourite Zelda games... even if there are still plenty of things about I would've changed and in some pretty significant ways πΉ, but even so, I keep coming back to it! As for this WIP, I really like it! I love the idea of seeing the aftermath of the main story with Link and Zelda going on adventures together, so seeing them together like this, out on the road and seeing this snapshot of their journey is terrific. You know, I like this so much that when the painting is finished, I may very well want a print of it! It would be a really cool scene to have on my wall. Speaking of which, I now have your Ciri and Camilla framed on my wall at last. I don't know if you'd be interested in seeing how they look, but here they are just in case <a href="https://sta.sh/0whd7fjjcwt" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://sta.sh/0whd7fjjcwt</a> But nevermind that! Back to the sketch! I do like the scenario a lot with Link in the background scouting out while Zelda looks a little more relaxed in the foreground with a big smile as she interacts with the horse. Already her face is looking beautiful! Her smile is absolutely love and I adore the motion of her hair with the strands curling and twisting as they split off. I also love that you have her in the blue adventurers garb, I really liked that outfit design and so I'm pleased that you chose to keep her wearing it and it really does look like you'll have a tonne of detail here with the overlapping belts/straps and the folds in the material. I'm very excited to see how you handle the scenery and colours, the artstyle of BotW is something I really adored, especially the vibrant colours and beautiful landscapes and I have no doubt that you'll be able to do it justice in your art style.
