Breath of the Wild

And ... it's .. finished!

Took me slight longer than the usual drawing (like, +45h instead of the usual 20ish lol), but being 100% honest, I didn't want to rush anything. I wanted to include every single detail I had in mind because if I didn't, I would look at the image a few months from now and think "oh I could have done this and that better"

Not today ladies and gentleman! This is really as good as it could be!

The image initially was a lot smaller, but it evolved over the months, and eventually it reached a point where I was "ok, now this is exactly what I wanted to do!"

Oh and to put the image in context, it was after the story of Breath of the Wild, there's a small "true ending" when Link and Zelda get together to travel the world fixing and helping rebuild stuff.

Hope you guys like it, and it was worth the wait!

Thanks! This image evolved a lot through the months. Initially I just wanted to do a simple portrait of her, but at the end of the day it would be her "just standing there". Regardless of how cool I could make her outfit, it would be just that. So I thought about including the horse, as if she's going on her own adventure. Then I thought about the image I had in mind when the game launched, which had a cool "view of the scenery", so I thought how I could fit it in this image, or adapt the concept. So I came up with the idea of her interacting with the horse, and link in the background and then the image evolved from that. I wanted to have the "windy sunrise" vibe because I think it's one of the most amazing aspects of the game: the view. I think it's amazing how they captured that cool breeze on the fields, the sun rising/setting, and just .. nature. Many games have amazing graphics for the world, but BotW art style is so unique, the colors to vibrant, it feels like you are playing on a painting. So I did my best to pack all the details in the image, without making it too cluttered or adding too much noise and still keep the vibrant colors. And it's no secret that I love doing hair, so I made sure that she had a big messy hair with all the braids and stuff. I also made her outfit a little more "adventurous" kinda like she's now joining Link in helping Hyrule, but it's still a dangerous world, so she has to take care of her own. And the horse was just me having fun. It was actually the 2nd or 3rd time I ever painted horses, and I wanted to give her a reason to smile, so what's better than a horse being silly? =D So I can say that I'm really happy with the result =D

Oh wow... now this was absolutely worth waiting for! This is beautiful beyond any words to describe it, seriously, you have truly outdone yourself here! The level of detail that you've packed in here is just insane and the colours are so vibrant and striking, you really have captured the feeling of just how bold and beautiful the in-game version of Hyrule looks. Something I'm absolutely in love with how the grass is blowing in the breeze, with flower petals drifting across the image, having the Silent Princess flowers among the grass is such a great detail and homage to the game too. The rolling hills in the background look amazing too with the light hitting them from one side as the opposing shadows define their shapes, while I adore how the farthest mountains blend into the warm tones of the sunlit sky. The characters and horses all look excellent too, something truly commendable is just how much detail you packed in to Link, given how far into the background he is, all of his outfit, hair, weapons, his movements and pose are all so easily visible. The horses are excellent and something I really enjoy is how true to the game Zelda's horse is with the white colours as well as the royal decorations adorning it. The purple with the pale gold trimming each contrast with each other perfectly, while also popping beautifully against the white horse. The textures of the horse are excellent too and the rendering of it's mane is so intricate, I really like the rendering of it's face, the clear definition of the top, side and front planes, as well as the excellent detail of it's lower lip pulling to one side as it reaches towards Zelda. And of course Zelda herself looks absolutely exquisite! Her colours too are so bold and vibrant, with her blue tunic popping so strongly against her warm blonde hair and skin, as well as the brown segments of her attire. Her expression is perfect too, she looks so very beautiful. The detail in her hair with the interwoven braids and sweeping, twisting and curling strands is insane too! And I adore the warm light shining onto the front planes of her face with the shadows along the side to define her features and create a beautiful contrast. The muscles of her neck look excellent too with the features of her anatomy locking into each other. Her clothes are sensational also, the texture of her blue tunic is amazing, as is the fantastic rendering/definition of the folds in her clothing, my favourite part being the folds created by the brown accessory on her left arm. Speaking of which, all of the patterns and engraved detail on her corset and belt look excellent, as do the different shades of brown, with tier own textures and feels as the light hits them. There's so much more to look at but I'm actually in a rush and have to go πŸ˜… Seriously though, this has to be one of your very best paintings, like I would so love to have this masterpiece up on my wall! Sensational, breathtaking work! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
