Succubus

This is the last image of January! This is not part of February rewards!

Hey everyone, it's finished! I have to say it was quite interesting to remake an old work. It's fun to see the difference in composition, anatomy and everything that improve over the years. I changed a few things like making the wings a mix of "feather/leathery" wings, as if they were decayed into that and not exactly created that way. I also cleared up her outfit and jewelry to make it more elegant and individually detailed instead of just spreading all sorts of stuff causing a lot of noise.

I wanted to be faithfull to the original idea but also improve on areas that definitely could be better. It's definitely a good exercise to do from time to time.  The original drawing is from 2004 btw =D

So I hope you guys like it, and the rewards will be sent later tonight or earlier tomorrow. As usual, there will be a post once the rewards are sent!

Incredible talent!

Thank you! I did consider going full blue/black with this image, but I thought it could get pretty boring. So a reddish purple looked more interesting. It was also a very interesting body type and pose to work, with larger hips and smaller breasts, compared to the others I did this month =D I also wanted the scene to make more sense in terms of physics, Like the wings are supporting her weight and give the idea that she's pressing her feet against the pillar as well, instead of just being spider man like in the original. The camera angle and things going on in the background also help a lot in terms of giving more deph to the scene and making it more alive instead of just "being there". Overall it was a quite interesting experience to revisit an old drawing with a more seasoned eye =D

I did consider that, but unfortunately the definition is a very big gray area. I had drawings with only an exposed midriff labeled NSFW ... and it's something you literally see on the street during summer. Even on Instagram and Facebook I had the same drawing labeled as "adult content" in one site but not the other, and vice versa. Since it's impossible to rely on the "internet definition of SFW/NSFW", I try to keep the separation consistent: SFW - clothed version NSFW - non-clothed version. I separate them because there's people that are simply not interested in the non-clothed version of the images. Because at the end, I can't consider all the varying degrees of what people consider "Safe for work", otherwise I'd have to put half of the images in the NSFW folder, even when fully clothed, just because of the "sexual theme". Which could be quite confusing to have each month sorted in a different way based on varying degrees of NSFW. And well, worst case scenario, you can always tell it's artistic nude =D.

Because variety is the spice of life! On a more serious note, because it's important to make different body shapes. People have all sorts of different preferences, so I try to make different body types and shapes in breasts, hips, etc etc. There was already 2 characters with big breasts this month, and there's also the fact that the original artwork didn't have big boobs to begin with. So there was no need for another character with big breasts this month.

Thank you!

Great pic. Fyi, this version is in the dropbox's SFW folder. While not nude, I feel like those nipple covers may or may not be everybody's definition of Safe For Work, especially a kinky well drawn succubus. Just a suggestion as since you separate at all, I just wanted to help in terms of keeping your patrons out of trouble for enjoying your at an unfortunate moment of social awkwardness.

Why no boobs?

Oh you instantly know what I'm going to praise immediately.... that beautiful purple colour palette! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ I was interested in seeing if you'd stick with the black colour scheme from the original, so this softer, brighter purple palette with warm hints of pink throughout is a very pleasant and welcome surprise. You've put in a very nice variety of tones too throughout the piece, especially thanks to the various colour gradients, such as the main pillar being dark purple at the top, changing to a lighter tone at the bottom, as well as having background elements blending into the colours of the sky, her wings too benefit from these transitioning colours. The details in the background are terrific too, I especially like the engravings running through the pillar, they're incredibly intricate and and they way you managed to make them really look like they're indented into the pillars surface is great. And then there's the 2nd succubus off to the side of the image, she too has a tremendous amount of detail to her with fantastic rendering, lighting and a fluid pose that gives her a nice sense of motion and sensuality. As for the main Succubus... Oh boy... she may be a demon but she sure does look divine! ๐Ÿ’œ Starting with the wings, the texture to them looks amazing, especially how the surface of the wings have so many plane changes that show the rippling muscles underneath, while the colour changes and lighting across their curling forms is fantastic. I also really like the talons that come out of the top and their own slightly shining textured look, very distinct from the wings themselves. Her hair is beautiful and despite being a dark colour, with the lighting you used, the subtle shine to the hair gives a great amount of detail. And speaking of lighting, her face and entire body look so sensational. I'm always a big fan of a strong contrast in light and dark with a clear divide between the two and you did that so well here, the light shining in onto her right-hand side, illuminating her with dark shadows down her left-hand planes creates an incredibly striking contrast while also accentuating her features so well. Her face especially is gorgeous with her front planes receiving the light as shadows run down the side, while her shining eyes and dark, textured and luscious lips are very eye-catching. Her anatomy looks marvellous, particularly her mid-section with all of the plane changes of her elongated stomach having a lot going on, while I always adore how you paint legs, that divide in light and dark tones is always so wonderful. And I really enjoy the attire that she has, the shining, dull gold jewellery pops very well against her purple-tinted skin and the details of these pieces are insanely intricate. While the purple material barely concealing her modesty looks great with the deep folds, as well as how it curls, twists and flows down alongside her calves. The rippling folds as they turn are just so impressive to see. And I got to say, the rounded forms of her bare hips as her thighs cross together, with the centre barely hidden by a soft fabric pressed between them is all just so damned sensual ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป Oh and back to the face, the brighter lit face, surrounded by the dark coloured hair is such a beautiful contrast, I can't help but keep looking back to that area. Absolutely excellent work here! You've made something so atmospheric, beautiful, alluring and masterfully painted ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Thanks! It was a bit tricky to make it "similar enough" but "distinct enough", but definitely interesting to do =)

It's really great seeing the progression of your artistic style when comparing the older and newer works. I look forward to future re-imaginings of your prior works!

I like the shading on her skin. And the carvings on the column are interesting, too.
