Prince and his Syntrophos
Added 2023-03-25 06:35:41 +0000 UTCI drawn Prince Alexander and his syntrophos(foster-brother) Hephaistion. it is a remake of a drawing I stopped trying to draw last year.
I am currently interested in the Ancient Macedonian court system, which I am trying to express in my drawings. Among them Basilikoi Paides is an interesting.
I don't know if it is really a system of Achaemenid Empire, but it is interesting to see the similarities.
I recommend reading the paper by Prof.Sawada and Prof.Carney on basilikoi paides. Of course, some of you may have already read it.
