There are many things we don't know about women's clothing in the Kanto region of ancient Japan (900s AD). I drawn it with clothes from a much later period.
Kikyo no mae is a figure in folklore. Her betrayal caused Taira no Masakado's death, and tradition has it that Kikyo flowers(balloon flower) do not bloom because of his curse.
