On October 8, I visited a museum in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture.
Kimonos and cloths reproducing ancient and medieval Japanese dyeing were on display and were so beautiful! The Persian patterns that came to Japan via the Silk Road have also been restored, and I was delighted to see the motifs of sacred trees and animals, lion hunting, which date back to the ancient Orient.(No photos are available because photography was prohibited.)
I was able to take pictures of Heian era kimonos and cloths and will post many pictures!
Thank you for reading this!
