I recently watched Takeshi Kitano's Kubi again, for the second time. It is wonderful to see again and again, and Takeshi is very skilled at capturing the ridiculousness of violence, honor and homosocial. And yet, it is wonderful that they do not make light of homosexual relationships.
I wish Blood and Ashes had been directed by Takeshi Kitano😢 I am still in shock from Blood and Ashes😔
Kubi will probably be released outside of Japan. If it is released in your area, I highly recommend you to watch it!
