Treatment
Added 2025-02-02 08:49:54 +0000 UTCI drew a scene of wound treatment after a battle.
I drew the chiton in red because Xenophon says red is good for the military(essentially chiton in a variety of colors), but the blood is not as noticeable. The overall color scheme is better, but it is a little sad for the artist that the blood is less noticeable.
Inspiration for the scenes and situations comes from "The Oxford Handbook of Warfare in the Classical World" , Arrian, Diodorus and Curtius. The surgical instruments (Roman) are based on those from Pompeii. Attached is a photo I took a long time ago.
The stool is from Thessaloniki and the lampstand is from Aigai.
