A teenager with no future finds out the arcade game he’s mastered is actually a training program to recruit him into fighting in an interstellar war. Frequent John Carpenter collaborator Nick Castle directed this cult sci-fi epic.
Supercop (aka Police Story 3)
Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong cop, who with the help of a Beijing Interpol inspector played by Michelle Yeoh, has to go undercover in mainland China to bust a drug ring. One of the best action movies ever made, with stunts that must be seen to be believed.
Trespass
Walter Hill, director of SoC faves The Warriors and Streets of Fire, helmed this thriller about two firefighters (William Salder and Bill Paxton) who scheme to steal valuable items from an abandoned factory, only to find out the building is staked out by gang members (Ice-T and Ice Cube). The script is by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, the team behind Back to the Future.
