Alien 3
David Fincher’s directorial debut is about as relentlessly bleak as a major studio release can get, reflecting its extremely troubled production. Ripley is stranded on a prison planet, and must team up with the prisoners to fight the alien one last time. We’d be watching a variation on the ‘assembly cut’, which reflects where the movie was right before Fincher was fireds.
Jupiter Ascending
The Wachowskis’ wild space opera features royalty detecting bees, dog hybrid man Channing Tatum, a screaming Eddie Redmayne, and other absurdities. A big ol’ mess, but a fun one. Feels like one of those 80s anime features that just adapted an entire manga run into 2 hours.
Moon
Sam Rockwell is a working class guy about to wrap up his assignment of extracting resources on the moon, but really strange things start happening. One that’s very fun to go into without knowing too much about where its going. This was going to be paired with Space Dandy but I forgot!
