Hey its been a while why not give it a shot? A very important piece of anime history, Hideaki Anno's filmography, and works interestingly as a precursor to Evangelion. I'd make a roadshow version with overture, intermission, etc.
Maniac Cop 2
An ANIME NITE classic finds the maniac cop from the first film still alive and ready for more vengeance. A really fun mix of action and horror, with some memorable stunts.
Silence
Martin Scorsese's historical epic on Jesuit priests in Japan. Me and Swamp haven't seen it! Heard its great though.
