TBE Chapter 95

On the third day of their stay in the campsite that Simon chose for them, which was near a lake, they all began their day by eating the delicious breakfast that Ezekiel had prepared for them. After that, Robert, Luke, and Simon ran outside the house to go on their adventures, either in the lake or in the forest.

As usual, Ezekiel asked Yuki Onna to follow the three boys, and he also re-awakened the butcher knives using the Tiny Servant spell so they would have more bodyguards aside from Ezekiel’s familiar.

He also cast the Mage Armor spell on all three of the boys to make sure that they would be protected, even though he knew that it was unnecessary, but it was better to be safe than sorry, since a minor bite from a poisonous snake could be fatal.

Ezekiel followed his plan for that day by making several food that could be categorized as either desserts or snacks. The first thing that he made was the traditional American food, the mac and cheese, and he made around three bowls of it since it was extremely easy. Of course, he added a lot more to the dish like boar to one of the bowls and several ingredient, pheasant on the second one and then deer meat on the third one.

After that, he made a lot of sandwiches with different fillings. He used the empty bento boxes to store them. He made several boxes of sandwiches. After a few hours, he felt a little tired, so he rested a little by making several pitchers of fresh fruit. He was a little glad that he could purchase ice from his system store and that made all the drinks very cold.

He also purchased milk and sodas and transferred them to pitchers that he brought, and put ice in them. When all the pitchers of drinks were cold enough, he stored them in his 4th tab space.

At around noon, Robert, Luke, and Simon returned with the boys, bringing some game animals with them that Ezekiel immediately stored. Then he served everyone some of the remaining bento boxes filled with food from his 4th tab space, which, of course, remained as fresh as the day he had made them.

After lunch, the boys ran off again, but Ezekiel overheard Robert telling Simon that he wanted to learn to fish some more, so he expected that when they returned home, they would be bringing more fish. The fish that they brought before was still not clean and was in Ezekiel’s 4th tab space. He would ask Simon to clean them later.

Ezekiel then cooked some more snacks. He started with spaghetti with meatballs, and he cooked around 3 huge bowls of it. He then prepared around 20 bento boxes of Jello with fruits mixed in them, which was easy enough to do since once the Jello mix was cooked, he just needed to pour it on the bento boxes with fruits in them. The Jello needed to be chilled, so he stored them in a basin filled with ice, and Ezekiel expected them to be ice cold after a few hours.

Ezekiel then prepared some more sandwiches, and all in all, he managed to prepare around 20 bento boxes filled with sandwiches, and each box had five sandwiches. After that, he prepared three bowls of carbonara that he also filled with ingredients.

He only stopped cooking at around five in the afternoon, but all in all, he was satisfied with the amount of food that he had cooked that day. He did spend another whopping 10 silver coins for all the ingredients and storage materials that he purchased from his system store.

At least, the next time he cooked because the food was all gone, he dint have to buy any more storage items.

Soon, the three boys returned. Ezekiel asked Robert and Luke to take a bath while he asked Simon to clean all the fish that they brought in. They did bring a set of new ones, around five of them, so they now had 15 fish, and Ezekiel just watched Simon clean each and every one of them.

Ezekiel was a little impressed at how fast Simon cleaned the fish and the man told him that they had to be fast when it came to food because they didn’t want their food to be snatched by others or he would be interrupted by his previous master, asking him to do some chores, because he was slow.

Once all the fish were cleaned, Ezekiel stored them in his inventory. He planned to review some recipes that he could use to cook the fish, since he had never cooked them because he dislikes eating fish. For some reason, he liked Sushi, though which was, in his opinion was a little weird.

After that, he asked Simon to take a bath while he cleaned the kitchen. When Simon returned, Ezekiel asked Simon to feed, water, and clean Prince Charming while he took a bath.

When he returned, he started the boys' lessons on the local language and English, and after that, they ate a generous amount of food for their dinner that night.

Based on the boys' progress, they should be able to understand English after two or three weeks. To be honest, Ezekiel was a little excited for his brothers and Simon to learn his native language because then he could share with them the media from Earth, since they were probably the only ones he could share it with due to the language barrier.

Robert kept asking him why they needed to learn the “magic” language, and he just kept answering his brother that it was a surprise.

After casting all the necessary spells that would protect them during the night, everyone prepared to sleep. Luke requested a fairy tale that night instead of the One Piece manga, so he told them one, and soon they were asleep.

Ezekiel reviewed some recipes online before sleeping, and once he took note of those that he could use, he rested as well.

The next day was their fourth day in that location, and Simon asked if they were going to leave that day since Ezekiel had mentioned that once they stopped somewhere for him to cook food, they would only stay for three days.

“I think it would be best for me to cook some more, so we would probably stay for several more days,”  Ezekiel said, and the three boys cheered since they were enjoying their stay near the lake.

The only sad thing was, Ezekiel still didn’t allow the boys to swim in the lake, but he couldn’t just take his mind off the idea that there were monsters deep in the lake. After breakfast, the boys ran off again and again, he commanded his familiar and the knives to follow the boys to make sure that they were safe.

That morning, Anton decided to splurge and brought a grill. It cost him 1 silver coin, but he wanted to grill meat.

Grilling the meat needed to be done outside, so he set up the grill just outside the window. When all of the ingredients were prepared, Ezekiel steamed some more rice while waiting for all the meat that he was marinating in different sauces to lock in the flavor, which would probably take about an hour. When the rice was cooked, he transferred it to bowls and managed to prepare three huge bowls of it.

Ezekiel then started grilling the marinated meat. He started with pork and managed to fill three bowls of grilled pork meat, then he started to grill fowl meat and also managed to fill three bowls of them by the time lunch arrived.

He did prepare extra grilled pork and rice for their lunch that day, so when the boys saw the lunch he prepared, their eyes widened.

“It smells so good!” Luke drooled while Robert and Simon just stared at the meat.

When they started eating, Ezekiel had to admonish the boys to eat slowly and to use the knives and the fork since they were not beasts, and if they continued to behave like beasts, he would take away the meat and give them bread, so the boys slowed down.

Simon mimicked Robert and Luke's behavior of eating the meat with rice, and the man admitted that it was most delicious that way because the “white grain” cut down the grease from the pork.

He also served them a newly made pitcher of fruit juice, and when they were done eating, all of them had large bellies full of food. Normally, after lunch, the boys would run off immediately, but since they all ate a lot, they had to rest to digest the food they had just eaten. But it only lasted for around ten minutes, and soon the boys ran off again.

Ezekiel continued to grill some more meat and by the end of the day managed to grill a total of 10 bowls of grilled pork and 10 bowls of grilled fowl meat. He also managed to cook some more steamed rice, so that the total bowls of rice in his 4th tab space was 40.
