Will there be player trading/player gifting?

Yes, there will. It takes a while to make because it's a new web view that displays the trade offer from both players in real-time.

There are several challenges to prevent scamming (bait and switch trade offers, as well as unfair trades), cheating/scripting (manipulating HTTP requests to do things that shouldn't be possible), and multi-accounting (unfair advantages to level new accounts faster).

Player-to-player trading is a relatively huge new feature, and the priority of it is pretty low. That's why trading takes a long time.

Will there be combat against an AI (PVE)?

Yes, the battle feature in the game right now (auto-battle) is just a teaser of the upcoming real-time and turn-based battle feature. You'll be able to manually battle against Encounters for 3X the XP that you'd get from auto-battling.

In addition to that, there will be combat-based challenges to beat. For example: there will be 'Gyms' where you can combat the 'Gym Leader'. Each Gym is specialized in one form of combat, mostly related to one or two Elemental Types. Players will need a party that excels at general combat or have a party specifically for this Gym.

Combat against AI (called "PVE") will be the main feature released with WaifuGame Season 2. We're currently halfway through Season 1.

How will WaifuGame know what Elemental Type each Animu is?

We will rely on players like you to classify each named Animu in the game. This is done through an advanced voting system. WaifuGame contains roughly 10,000 unique characters, and we'll be readying up for the release of Season two when the 5,000 most common characters have been assigned an Elemental Type.

Animus with Elemental Type '???' will not be eligible for PVE because they do not have an Elemental Type yet, but they can receive an elemental type later on. (The voting system will run all the time because new characters are added all the time.)

Will there be combat against other players (PVP)?

Yes. It'll be a long time before we get there, possibly Season 3 or even 4. But a PVP system with elo-based matchmaking, leaderboards, weekly and daily tournaments is definitely something that I want to provide.

How do I use Combat Items?

You can't use them yet: either save them for months later or just sell them :)
