Mythic Rarity will be rarer + Shard Week Event

Dear WaifuGamers,

We're changing something about the Mythic rarity in WaifuGame. The way it used to work is that all cards could start out as Uncommon, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythic. The downside of this was that some Cards could never be sponsored because they were already Mythic. So, starting in July, new Cards will no longer start out as Mythic.

In addition, we're introducing a new event in late July called Shard Week. During this event, Shards will be available at a 35% discount for Emeralds, as well as more opportunities to gain Shards through free play. 

We're also changing the rarity of UNSPONSORED Mythic Cards to Legendary. This will give everyone the chance to Sponsor their favorite Cards and make them Mythic again.

Many players globally will be interested in Sponsoring, so we're releasing the Cards over time and at different hours:

Card Number 1 - 43,000: Sun July 24, 9am NYC (1pm UTC)
Card Number 43,001 - 86,000: Mon July 25, 10am NYC (2pm UTC)
Card Number 86,001 - 129,000: Tue July 26, 11am NYC (3pm UTC)
Card Number 129,001 - 172,000: Wed July 27, 12pm NYC (4pm UTC)
Card Number 172,001 - 215,000: Thu July 28, 13pm NYC (5pm UTC)
Card Number 215,001 - 258,000: Fri July 29, 14pm NYC (6pm UTC)
Card Number 258,001+: Sat July 30, 15pm NYC (7pm UTC)

FAQ

What does it mean for New Cards?

New Cards will no longer start out as Mythic. They'll be created at a rarity up to Legendary. For 100 Shards or more, they can be upgraded to Mythic by any player or group effort.

What does it mean for Existing Mythic Cards?

Sponsored Cards are unaffected. Unsponsored Mythic Cards will become Legendary in the last week of July 2022.

What does it mean for Existing Animus?

If the Card is not Sponsored, it'll go down in Rarity level as well. Animus of Lv.95 or lower will receive fewer SPECIAL Points at Level Up. You can Sponsor the Card to unlock the full potential again!

Animus of Sponsored Mythic Cards, and Animus of Lv.96 and up are unaffected: there is no SPECIAL Stats loss, nor is there a Combat Stats loss for Animus.

What about the Mythic Animu Collector Quest?

It'll become harder to complete, so we're increasing the Shard Reward for it from 250 to 350 Shards!

What is Shard Week?

Shard Week is happening at the same time as Discovery Channel's Shark Week. There will be discounts on Shards and more ways to get Shards through free play.
