More Patreon Transition Stuff

Transparency time. The first of the month rolled around, so we finally have a look at the damages from the transition from per-video to per-month. So, I'm down $1300 a month on Patreon, more than a third of what I was making in the per-video era. I'm not sure how that happened, I knew I'd lose some, but that a real kick to the checkbook. Please, if you're a patron and you haven't already, check if you're payment was declined, check to see if you're in the tier you want to be in. There's a lot I need to work out.

Regardless, however this shakes out, thank you for your support.

I've gone ahead and doubled my membership ($10 -> $20). I had to search around some to find out how to do that (you have to go to your Settings and then edit your membership there.) NickKnacks was a constant companion for me through the depths of the Covid pandemic, my wife enjoyed every Goosebumps vid, and I still catch each new episode you do as soon as it comes out. Figured I'd put my money where my mouth was.

It looks like there isn't a $15 tier anymore. Maybe that's why they dropped you down to $10.

Not sure if other people have this, but for some reason it looks like Patreon reduced my subscription. It weirdly said, "Your upcoming membership renewal on December 1, 2024 will be at the previous rate of $15.00/month, and renewals starting January 1, 2025 will be at the new rate of $10.00/month, unless you cancel before that date here." But I was only charged $10 in December. So check that.

Awful to hear. Your content has evolved so much over the years and there are multiple series I find myself going back to. Hope things settle into a sustainable normal for you again soon.

Hoping it picks back up as people straighten things out!
