Overall this album feels very personal. At points I feel like she is sitting us down and telling us her story at other points it feels like she is alone speaking to herself, crying, shouting, and coming to terms with it. The vocals are beautiful but we know that. More than anything I am taken by her storytelling.
Sometimes you know you are listening to someone's new song. Sometimes you forget where you are and just think of that person's past & pain. Rosie gave us the latter.

2024-12-14 14:42:51 +0000 UTCLove your reaction! Thank you. I cannot wait for the 2nd part of the album because that’s gonna be much more emotional music wise, but I’m sure you will enjoy it a lot. Fun Fact: Gameboy was the last wrong that she wrote which made it to the album. Which is why I was surprised that the song was put in the middle of the album, but my guess is that it fits there better just based on its sound (you’ll surely understand what I mean once you’ve heard the 2nd part of rosie). She mentioned in an Interview that she “squeezed” everything out in that last session so there wouldn’t be anything left talking about when it comes to the relationship. Thus it was the song that gave her closure when it comes to the toxic relationship and she left the studio with the feeling that she doesn’t want to talk about that topic anymore and finally left it behind. Rosé mentioned in interviews that entering the studio and creating these songs made her feel sane and it was like a therapy session for her in times where she felt lost and didn’t know what to do. She’s credited as the singer, songwriter (composition & lyrics) and she’s the sole executive producer (exc. APT.) for every track on ‘rosie’. + She is also the sole composer of ‘toxic till the end’ which shocked me since the melody is super catchy.
