Nabiu - 1/22/2025 (Pilot Production Insights Part 1)

So once a week for the next few weeks I'll be sharing some production insights! Episode 2 is still in production, it's something I work on in between Something Series videos (which is still my primary focus).
The ‘original animatic’ and most of its rough animation was done in 1 month!
The backgrounds were far more detailed than the Something Series BGs and were completely original. Some of them took me an entire day to make:
Buildings and interior backgrounds are a weakness of mine and this was mostly indoors.
^^^(I don't know if you noticed in the episode, but the floating coffee cup in the bottom right was still dripping coffee!)
There was one day that I spent over an hour making Wizzro's Diploma. After I finished it I realized it was too detailed; it wasn't even a background; it was one element of a background and I thought if I kept up that level of detail I would never finish the project. So I deleted it and made this one in a few minutes:

2025-01-23 01:06:57 +0000 UTCFor some reason what you said about the diploma that you scrapped due to the level of detail it took, reminds me an occurrence that Leonardo da Vinci had with his painting of the last supper. Originally, he made Jesus’s cup look like it was silver and bedecked with jewels, like the goblet of a royal King of kings. It was so magnificent that someone who looked at it said that his eyes were immediately drawn to the cup. Leonardo quickly drew over it a very plain wooden cup. He was upset that the main focus was on the cup and not on his Lord. 😊
