I originally intended the pilot to have full voice overs, but with how long it was taking me to make this cartoon I wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep the cast the same over the course of many years.
I think Banjo-Kazooie or Undertale's style of speaking is very charming and it was around this time that I started watching more Let's Plays and Longplays of games with little to no voice overs - I also know a lot of people watch subtitled anime: so I thought giving the show textboxes could work and give Nabiu a certain charm.
My goal was for it to feel more like a game and somewhat like an animated comic (and for people to imagine voices they personally saw fit!)
