Gemmy is Back! With a Purpose!
Added 2025-02-15 02:37:21 +0000 UTCSo Gemmy has been a member of the TTRPG community for a while now. Sadly, he became mute in recent times and has just sat quietly in the corner.
I've been conversing with ChatGPT though and surprisingly... we managed to give Gemmy his voice back!
But we didn't stop there!
The Granite plugin now has an option to make Gemmy helpful!
This means Gemmy is now helping with the learning curve for new users! He's built into the Patreon vault already.
We even convinced him to provide useful URLs!
The way he has been worked has been changed a bit. You can now click Gemmy to show a new tip. Tips stay up for 4 seconds currently.
If you start typing, Gemmy will leave you alone to give you space to type.
But if you stop typing... Gemmy may pop back up with some helpful prompts to get you back to being productive.
I will continue to add new tips and tricks with a focus on helping new users conquer Obsidian.
If you tire of Gemmy being helpful you can always untick the setting to make him un-helpful again!
And if you want to turn him off. Disable or uninstall the Granite plugin.
