Definitely understand the issues with YouTube but Vimeo is a NIGHTMARE trying to cast onto a tv so I really hope y’all can find a better alternative in the future 🫠

YouTube has rules about violent content (video games are okay most of the time, since that's clearly fake but it's stricter with "realistic" content). This is most obvious with self harm in films such as Talk to Me, where it gets a special warning before the video and is usually age restricted (meaning that it is rarely, if at all, recommended). The copyright "strike" system is a 3 strike rule that once all 3 strikes are used, the channel is permanently deleted. A strike is given when a channel is found to have knowingly violated a copyright.

You Tube is a great platform to grow from. But sadly their policies are very strict and 9/10 its automatic, so James and the gang could cut and really go to town on making sure it fits you tubes policy, but one tiny thing could mean you tube drops the hammer.....probably, im just yapping, have a great day tho

I adore every single aspect of Pearl down to the most minute detail, genuinely such an incredible film and super special that we were able to receive it. So happy that my Patreon shoutout was in this!

I loved the monologue so much, that I almost tell people the movie is worth watching just for that, if nothing else. I am also of the belief her sister-in-law did NOT get the spot on the chorus line.

Can someone please explain to me YouTube's rules that often interfere with James's shows? Or direct me to a place where they are clearly set out (I have tried Googling them and nothing that comes up has cleared things up for me). Why does it make a difference if he gets a sponsor for show? He's mentioned "copyright strike." What happens if he gets too many? Why is Vimeo ok for this episode about Pearl, but YouTube is not? If there is a copyright problem, wouldn't it apply to Vimeo too? What is a "visibility issue?"
