Update poll (please read this)

Hey everyone. I figured I'd do a little update post because I haven't made one in a bit. First off, thank you for all the comments on the latest sketch. If you haven't seen it yet, here it is.

So basically, my goal for 2024 was to grow this page significantly. And while it has grown a little bit, It hasn't been enough for me to consider that goal reached. I'm sure getting suspended didn't help. But even before that happened this page would usually hover around 180-200 paid members. Which is still a lot, And let me just say that I never want to sound ungrateful, or like I'm complaining when I talk about this kind of stuff. I really do appreciate everyone who subs and follows. Even if it's only one time.

So in order to grow this page, since I'm limited in how I can advertise this page as I found out from the suspension, I have to rely on new (or returning) people seeing the publicly released posts, then potentially joining the patreon.  And I only get to post those drawings publicly if I have new exclusive drawings on here for you guys. I cant just post all of them after a week if it takes me 2-3 weeks per drawing. I'll run out. and then nobody will have a reason to join.

Now part of the reason for me being so slow at drawing is that I only really make fully colored pieces. I seriously can't even remember the last time I posted a sketch that didn't get fully colored up. But the other more important reason is that I never really learned how to draw fast. I'm kinda a perfectionist

It's pretty common for me to spend multiple hours adjusting characters faces in the sketch phase. Usually, shifting things slightly until everything in the right spot. Just using the latest sketch as an example, for Raven's face I spent almost 3 hours adjusting the facial feature's placements by mere pixels because I wanted to make the perspective look good. And then even after I had posted it, I still went back and started tweaking things some more. It's kinda a bad habit because I think most people wouldn't care or even be able to tell the difference at a glance. The faces are the biggest culprit of this but it extends into the other aspects of my drawings as well.

Another side effect of me taking so long to complete drawings is that I can lose the motivation I started them with. Sometimes I'm able to keep it the full way through, other times I'm just glad that the drawing is finished.

I want to be able make drawings faster and post here more often. But If I start posting drawings that take me less time, or drawings that aren't as "completed" I'm worried people wont like them as much.

So I really just wanted to ask you guys about it. Would you be okay with me doing faster drawings.
Maybe I just leave some as sketches. Maybe some have more simplified shading. Maybe some are in black and white. I'm not really sure how to do it yet. But I'm asking you guys if you would be okay with me doing this? Please answer honestly.

Lately I've felt like I'm not doing a very good job running this page. So please, let me know if there's something I could do to make it better.
