Minicomic?

Judging by the last poll, it seems like most of you want the Star x Arella drawing. So I've started drafting up ideas for that. I'm having trouble deciding whether I should make it a minicomic or a more standard 1 or 2 image drawing. When I say minicomic I mean something kinda like this but with more panels.
Right now I'm doing some thumbnail sketches. And I'd say I have enough for like 8 panels. The main panel would have at least 3 alts. So depending on how you want to count it, that's 10 panels. Most likely I would split it across 3 pages.
Only problem is that it takes me a while to finish a full-color drawing. I've mentioned this in an update post before. I do want to be able to post drawings more frequently so I can grow this page. But I also don't really like the idea of sacrificing the quality to get them done quicker. So I thought I'd ask you guys about it.
If I do make it a minicomic I'd be using a more simple style. Mainly for the coloring, since that's the most time consuming part. (Also for the sake of my PC since I doubt it will be able to handle that many layers if done in my usual way.) I hope that isn't a deal-breaker for you all.
Also, tell me in the comments how you'd feel about black & white/monochrome drawings. I haven't done one of those in ages, so let me know how you feel about those.

2024-12-30 00:00:28 +0000 UTCI'm a big fan of B&W art so I think that'd help you not worry about colors too much. Simple mini comic sounds fun though.

2024-12-28 11:54:56 +0000 UTCI'd love to see the idea in the form of a mini comic, especially if it ties in with the rest/majority of your works. As for color vs monochrome, I love the way you color your art and it ends up being worth the wait.

2024-12-28 08:33:49 +0000 UTCI think you can do a mini comic sometimes when you have a lot of idea on something, its always nice to have a little more to read if you can totally explore your idea. For the color, i dont have any preference so go as you wish.

2024-12-28 08:29:40 +0000 UTCI say go for a mini comic if you're really set on doing one but if it were to be a 2 image or so thing like the Starfire x Blackfire pt2 drawings then that's fine. As for black & white / monochrome, i'd prefer just to have full color final pieces, same answer I gave last time.
