Unovan Rose Act 37

Goodra looked at the crowd of people. Used to large groups as they were, this had to be one of the biggest they had been treated too. For once, they weren’t handing out flyers. Instead, their job was checking people's tickets. While a touch harder, they didn't mind. That was just part of the fun of the job.

*Oh. You actually came!* Goodra announced and watched Kyurem and Reshiram step up. Glaring at the dragon pokemon, a slight headache bounced across their mind. But it was probably nothing.

“Yes. We will take up your pathetic offer. Perhaps this time will be different.” Kyurem announced and Goodra raised an eyebrow. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop them from checking both tickets. Handing them back once they were done, Goodra flashed a smile. Sadly, that gesture didn't even elicit a response from either legendary dragon pokemon. Instead, they walked on into the theater.

*What's their deal?" Goodra muttered and smoothed out their maid dress. Just in time for their headache to act up. Eyes closing for just a moment, the dragon pokemon was treated to an image of a theater in ruins. A monument had been placed in front of it. Yet, Goodra couldn't make out what was written on it. Yet at the same, they knew. Taunting them at every turn, it was yet another slap in the face of a future that they wished could’ve been stopped.

*Why, why, why, why….* Goodra muttered as the statue was blown up. Looking for the source of the damages, they didn't need to look far for the answer. Taking the form of a bunch of grunts dressed in black with a strange shield icon over their heart, it mattered little to Goodra. No, they were destroying the one thing that mattered to them. Did they not understand all that Rose had done? No, they simply did not care. Far too intent on creating trouble for the sake of it, they needed to be taught a lesson. But not by their hand. No, that fell to others here. As much as they wanted to act, all it would accomplish was nothing here.

Running in the direction of the ruins, Goodra found themselves running in place. Try as they might to reach their destination, they never seemed to move beyond it.

Nor would they get to see who would come to their aid, getting whisked back out to reality. Looking around for the source or real reason for that occurring, Goodra sighed. So close and yet out of reach.

*Is this what Haxorus and company felt?* Goodra thought and shook their head. Turning back to the crowd, they got to work checking people’s tickets. There was bound to not be anything out of the ordinary after th-

“HELLO.” a familiar voice announced and Goodra stepped back. There IT stood. Forgoing her usual attire, she had chosen to tie her hair into a bun and don an evening dress of all garments.

*What ill news do you bring this time?* Goodra muttered and IT rolled her eyes. Leave it to the maid of all pokemon to accuse her of being up to no good.

“NONE. I JUST WANT TO SEE A SHOW.” IT answered was met with a look from Goodra. Holding her ticket out all the same, she watched the ticket checker look it over. Handing it back with extreme reluctance, It accepted the gift. “PLEASURE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU.”

Watching IT walk away, Goodra took a moment to catch their breath. What point could they have for coming here now of all times? Did it have something to do with them inviting Kyurem and Reshiram to this show? No. Something else was in play here, but the dragon pokemon couldn’t figure out what exactly it was.

*Did something happen?* a voice called out and Goodra’s gaze locked onto Dragonite. They and Haxorus were making their approach through the crowd, Zekrom bringing up the rear here.

*Kyurem and Reshiram came, only for me to get a headache and be treated to a bunch of foreign memories after they entered.* Goodra started, taking care to split attention between checking people’s tickets and that of their companions. “Then IT showed up and she claimed to be on her best behavior.”

Haxorus raised an eyebrow.

“So you had a perfect storm of awful circumstances?” Zekrom inquired and Goodra nodded. Put that way, it made some sense. At the same time, there were so many questions left unanswered. Perhaps they never would and it was best to just leave sleeping houndoom lie.

*It’s possible.* Dragonite muttered and Haxorus nodded in agreement. Goodra did the same, focusing on the crowds here. Now the only ones standing in front of the theater, it was their cue to enter as well. But not before checking their garments for dirt or anything else that might have gotten on them while walking over.

Inside, the theater lobby was quiet. Thankfully, the sounds of anticipation from the entrances to the seats more than made up for it.

*Any bad feelings this time?* Haxorus inquired and Zekrom shook his head. Taking care to get the tiara back into its spot, he took the lead here. A rather short trip over to the doorway, care taken to not accidentally dent anything.

Compared to the lobby, there was something monolithic to the seats. Towering over the stage below, there was no sign of Rose. Likely backstage in anticipation of coming on stage.

*Where exactly are we sitting?* Dragonite inquired and Goodra stared down at their tickets. Scanning the seats, their heart sank a little. Judging by their gaze, the only available seats were right by Kyurem and Reshiram. At least they didn’t have IT sitting by them either. Nonetheless, the group headed over.

"Oh. It's you all." Reshiram announced as she watched the group take a seat. Zekrom ignored her, choosing instead to focus on the stage. The lights dimmed and the sound of heels echoed across the stage. That had to be Rose. Even if it wasn't, the deep black pokemon didn't mind. She would come on stage eventually…
