Some bad news and some good news

Hi guys & gals,

as I've mentioned in earlier posts, rendering the same way is just not possible for me right now, so I've taught about the alternatives and only feasible one for me is to downscale resolution. So the resolution of the renders will most likely be 640p. I know, not very 21st century, sorry.

As changing resolution from the chapter 3 onwards seems like a terrible idea to me, I've decided to put Under Pressure on hold and start a new project. It is possible that I keep writing future chapters, but there will no new renders and releases (at least not until I manage to get some better hardware, which is unfortunately unlikely in near future).

So what are the good news and the new project? Well, it will be quite different from UP. I want to experiment with some new things and I hope the lesser resolution will lead to more clean renders. In UP the choices are mostly about choosing routes (later on they would play big role in story development/endings), in my new project there will be more choices and will affect mostly relationships with other characters, which is main focus of the story.  I've written good portion of 0.1, which will be about as big as chapter and half of UP. I will keep you updated about the progress. In the meantime, this is a concept art of the main protagonist.

I'm sad about it too, but the project is not dead yet. The prices of graphics cards will drop in time and in year or two I might also have more spare cash.

Very sad to hear. UP was my reason for support here. But I'll take a look at the new game, though I really liked the idea of UP and would appreciate to overthink your decision again.
