Hey guys, I have some news.
At the end of last year I left my job - I needed to take a break and I've also wanted to spend more time on my games. Originally, I intended to focus on TCFM as I've felt that the development is too slow and so I wanted to push the game forward a bit. As it happened, shortly after that I've received an offer (with a financial incentive) to work on a new game - Karacan. I was naturally wary, but after establishing some rules and ensuring I'll have my "artistic freedom", I said yes. My goal at that time was finish the game during my "time off", Karacan wasn't supposed to be as lengthy project as TCFM, so it seemed doable while working on TCFM at the same time.
Unfortunately, my financial situation has changed and Karacan is also no longer supported by said benefactor, which means I won't be able to do so. With a fulltime job I'll only be able to focus on a single project and that has to be TCFM.
So what does that mean for the near future? Before I start a new job I want to release chapter 5 and chapter 6 + I want to finish Unfortunate Bet (I think it would be cool to do so in November, a year after part 1). As for Karacan, I don't know if it is dead or not (probably yes), but it is unlikely that there will be any updates - at least this year. Maybe I'll cut some content and do something like yearly release, but that seems pretty meh to me, so I wouldn't be very optimistic about that. If you've become patron mainly because of Karacan, I offer full refunds for this and the last month.
In the second half of the month I'll release news (2/2) about TCFM and when we can expect chapter 5 (I think it should be the next month, but I don't wanna make any promises yet). Also, in a few days I'll assume everyone played current content and the spoiler season for chapter 5 will start.
TLDR: no new updates for Karacan, or at least any time soon.
