Character Preview: Harpy Raptor

"Within the Demon King's realm lies the Grand Duchy of Celaeno, a small nation of harpies feared for its military might. Harpies are not known for their physical strength, but their abilities of flight more than make up for this. None make greater use of those abilities than the Raptors, chief soldiers of the harpy army. These winged warriors have trained their rears to accommodate objects of great size, enabling them to drop from above and consume their foes in one fell swoop. Even if the momentum of the initial dive is not enough to thrust their prey fully into their stomach, their well-trained suction can draw in even struggling lamias with no hope of escape.

Fortunately, the harpies are a civilized race and will rarely attack without cause. These warriors are known for their stoic nature, and as long as you keep away from their rears you should have no reason to fear. Should a hungry Raptor decide that you would make a nice meal, however, try to entice her to dive. When she misses, that's your chance to strike! Raptors can be formidable threats when their blades are drawn, but their small frames can put up little resistance once safely contained. Their avian nature gives them a unique and delicious flavor, so should the opportunity to eat one present itself, seize it!"
