Character Spotlight: Lamia
Added 2023-06-13 03:18:22 +0000 UTCA born and bred foodie who showed up at the base in search of new and exotic gourmet treats. Sociable, friendly, and above all supportive of others, she quickly became accepted by the vessels and has even started her own beauty salon, which boasts a surprisingly low mortality rate. She's taken a keen interest in the commander and is semi-secretly hoping that, one day, she'll get to sample the flavor of a human being, as well.
Unlike vessels, our current plan for monster girls is to have them be persistent characters. Rather than getting replaced by a clone or forcing the player to recruit another monster girl if one gets digested, the original unit will simply be 'reborn.' While this means they may be slightly more reliable than other units, losing them will be no less punishing, and they will be limited in certain other ways as well.

I really like her area of effect buffs! They don't really get much use in the level but the sandbox mode can let me build a lot of creative enounters around her skill. There should be some kind of visual indicator whenever a vessel is buffed by her. This is just a little thing, but I find the one character who likes fashion not wearing clothes to be a little odd.
